Inspiring trust for a more resilient world.

Recertification for IATF 16949:2016 is fast approaching, meaning that it is the perfect time to transfer your IATF certificate to BSI. There are fewer costs and logistical implications if you transfer your IATF certificate at the end of your three-year certificate cycle, as a transfer audit is the same duration as your recertification audit and they can be combined together.

Not only is it incredibly simple to transfer, but there are also many other reasons why BSI makes the perfect partner. Take a look at the short video below to discover why:

What makes BSI the perfect IATF certification partner?

BSI has been an IATF contracted certification body recognized by the IATF since 2002. IATF 16949 is based on ISO 9001, the world’s most widely adopted Quality Management System, for which BSI has held the secretariat of the international committee since 1994. That’s why we are best placed to help you understand the standard. Just some of the reasons why automotive manufacturers choose BSI:

BSI offers a complete solution through our key topics, product areas and streams to support the automotive sector with not only its IATF 16949 scheme, but also with a wide range of standards, certification and training as well as software solutions to help improve your business.

Gain both your TISAX® label and IATF certification together with BSI

IATF 16949: 2016 and TISAX® are both specific to the automotive sector. IATF is concerned with quality management, whereas TISAX® covers information security. We offer both IATF certification and TISAX® assessments, as BSI is an ENX TISAX® approved audit provider. Gaining both with the same certification body will allow you to easily manage both in the same place.

What is TISAX®?

TISAX® stands for Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange, and was developed by German automotive industry security experts, based on international Information Security Management System (ISMS) standards like ISO/IEC 27001.

TISAX® provides a catalogue of requirements, covering virtual, physical, and social aspects of information security, specific to the automotive supply chain. This catalogue is referred to as the Information Security Assessment (ISA) and forms the basis of the assessment conducted by BSI as an approved TISAX® audit provider.

Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are increasingly recognizing, and in some cases mandating, a TISAX® label as a demonstration of an organization’s compliance with information security requirements, therefore helping assure information security across the automotive supply chain.

There are currently more than 3,000 TISAX® participants (OEMs and TISAX® certified suppliers) across almost 6,000 registered locations worldwide. This includes a range of organizations working with OEMs, from vehicle component suppliers to technology service providers and beyond.
