BSI are pleased to announce that eligible companies can receive 40% funding paid for by the European Social Fund in collaboration with The Skills Service.
Training is an essential part of your management or business improvement process and who could be better at educating your teams than the business who helped shape the standard?
Training with BSI can help gain the buy-in of your leadership, it can help you implement or monitor your system or it can help develop your career. But we understand it is not cheap. You pay for the experience and knowledge that is passed onto you.
BSI have been awarded a grant from The European Social Fund, through The Skills Service, to benefit SMEs in the Leeds City Region and as such, you are eligible for 40% of BSI training to be funded.
It’s worth noting that your training doesn’t have to take place in the North East. Our BSI Training Academy Course can take place anywhere throughout the UK and it’s not limited to public training courses either. Our in-house courses tailored to you are also eligible for this funding.

Eligibility Requirements*
- You must be a small or medium-sized enterprises
- Up to 250 employees
- Up to a revenue of €50 million
- Your businesses must be located in the following districts:
- Bradford, Calderdale, Craven, Harrogate, Kirklees, Leeds, Selby, Wakefield and York
- Not in the following sectors:
- Hair and Beauty, Voluntary Sector, Public Sector including NHS and Hospitals.
- Courses must be booked before the end of 2019 and completed by March 2020.

The Skills Service
The Skills Service offers a unique package of training and support for SMEs in the Leeds City Region:
- Planning: Free Skills Plan session for SMEs to plan employee training and stay ahead of industry trends
- Funding: 40% funding from the European Social Fund towards training your workforce (eligible businesses only*)
- Training: Training and education opportunities across the region.
*SMEs in the Leeds City Region, participants must be in employment and 18+. Full eligibility at www.skillsservice.co.uk; The Skills Service is managed by the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges and funded by the European Social Fund (ESF)
Further notes
- Accommodation is not covered by the fund and will need to be paid for entirely
- Due to the fact this is funding, it CAN be used in conjunction with other BSI offers and promotions.
