Why BAFE Registration matters for your business

BAFE Fire Safety Registration demonstrates that your organization has been independently certified to carry out fire safety work to recognized British Standards.

For clients, specifiers, and enforcing authorities, it provides clear assurance that your services have been assessed for competence, consistency, and compliance.

The UK Government now strongly recommends that those responsible for fire safety choose providers certified by UKAS-accredited third parties. For many clients, that recommendation has already become a requirement.

Without BAFE Registration, you risk:

  • Losing tenders to certified competitors,
  • Being excluded from approved contractor lists,
  • Having no independent evidence of competence when clients ask for it,
  • Missing work from organizations that require third-party certification as standard.

With BAFE Registration, you appear on a searchable national register of verified fire safety providers. Clients can find you, check your credentials, and choose you with confidence.

The BAFE schemes you can certify to

You can gain BAFE Registration across the following schemes. Where your work spans more than one, we offer combined assessments to keep the process as straightforward as possible.
