About this event
Cybersecurity is a major concern for all industries. For the aerospace industry, a data breach or distributed denial of service (DDOS) cyberattack could not only expose proprietary information, divert resources and interrupt production, it can also be deadly.
According to a recent survey by SITA, Airline connectivity has doubled in the last two years alone – In Flight Entertainment (IFE) systems (a proven area of weakness in the past) are installed in 52% of airlines, with another 28% researching possible installation. Electronic Flight Bags, the electronic information management device that helps flight crews perform flight management tasks, are another innovation with 71% of respondents investing in its installation.
These services plus others now available create a complex web of data exposure and vulnerability. Join BSI’s Aerospace Champion, Brendon Hill, as he discusses examples of what happens when data is not protected, where the risks exist and how to harden your target data to increase its resistance to attack.
