The PPE Directive 89/686/EEC was repealed with effect from April 2018 and the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 now applies. It covers the whole supply chain, which includes importers, distributors or anyone involved in the supply and distribution of PPE. It is a legal requirement to comply if you are in the PPE industry.
We have received designation from the EU for the PPE Regulation for BSI The Netherlands. It ensures continued market access for clients wishing to place their PPE products on the market in Europe and affix the CE marking. It also means that we can continue to confidently promote our CE marking services for PPE to any organization making PPE and wishing to sell it in Europe beyond Brexit.
As a Notified Body for many Directives and Regulations, we can decode the rules. We have the knowledge you need in order to place your products on the market legally, and open doors across the EU. Therefore, we are hosting a PPE webinar on 3 June 2020 by our Certification Manager, Violet Diao, one of our leading experts in this area.
