Introduction of IATF Common Audit Report and Remote Audits


In response to the Coronavirus pandemic the IATF has recently released its updated Global Waivers and Measures which states that in certain circumstances, Certification Bodies may be able to conduct audits remotely using technology.

In addition, a new Common Audit Report “CARA” will be mandatory for automotive OEMs from January 2021 for all Certification Bodies and clients with the objective of driving improvements and enabling better comparisons of audit reports from different Certification Bodies.
