GFSI recognized food safety certification scheme, Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI), recently released SQF Code Edition 9 with implementation due by May 2021. With this new edition comes several updates with increased alignment to the GFSI benchmarking criteria. Included in the updates is an additional focus on food safety culture, food defense programs, remote auditing, and more.

His over twenty years of experience in the Food and Packaging manufacturing industries includes certification bodies: AIB and SAI Global, and manufacturing: Kari-Out/Perk-Up as Quality Manager, PacMoore Products as Vice President Food Safety & Quality Assurance, and most recently at Tate & Lyle as Director of Global Quality Systems.
Jeanette Litschewski, Food and Retail Sector Business Development Manager (BDM), joined BSI from SQF Institute as a Technical Affairs Specialist, where she was involved with many industry stakeholders to promote the SQF program and provide in-depth technical knowledge to companies and certification bodies.
