During the session our panelists Rahul Shah, Built Environment Development Director, BSI and Aysar Abou Kheir, Professional Services and Digital Engineering Manager, Asite will discuss what steps you should take for a successful BIM Journey and why partnerships are important, and will open the floor up to questions from participants.


Meet the Speakers:

Aysar Abou Kheir, Professional Services and Digital Engineering Manager, Asite - Aysar is a construction technology and built assets information management enthusiast. He is on a digital transformation mission to help construction organisations reach higher levels of excellence and resilience.
For over 6 years at Asite, Aysar led the digital transformation journeys of primarily large-scale Contractors, Owners, Property Developers and Estate Managers across the UK and Europe, and is currently managing Asite’s Professional Services team in the MENA region.
He is also actively working with buildingSMART UK and Ireland on promoting the active use and dissemination of the open data standards to enable construction processes to achieve a better return of investment and enhanced opportunities for productivity and growth.


Rahul Shah, Built Environment Development Director, BSI - Rahul has worked with asset owners, main contractors, architects, engineers and manufacturers for over 23 years. He has held leadership roles responsible for driving digital transformation, innovation, and leading on BIM strategy and implementation programmes globally. During his career Rahul has gained experience of implementing various digital initiatives on a diverse range of projects, including large scale multi-billion-pound urban regeneration schemes through to hospitals, airports, residential, commercial, data centres, mixed-use public spaces, stadiums and metros. He has gained thorough understanding of the risks and opportunities faced by today’s global construction businesses while going through digitalization.
