As the cannabis/hemp industry matures, companies in the sector notice their risks begin to become categorized in a few areas, one of these being supply chain risks. These could include:
- Legal and regulatory
- Quality control
- Security
- Product safety/testing/potency
- Imbalance in supply and demand, and more…
Like many other sectors, the supply chain can be one of the main causes of product recalls, which are often costly and have a high potential to damage your brand reputation.
Many companies mitigate such supply risks by implementing programs to understand where the risk lies, and what mitigating actions could be in place, varying from requests for completion of questionnaires or submitting testing and certification reports, to visiting / auditing supplier facilities.
In this moderated panel Webinar, BSI is bringing a group of industry experts to discuss supply chain risks that the cannabis and hemp industry face today and some of the actions in place to help minimize this risk.
