Khairul Nizam, Global Scheme Owner, Sustainability & Traceability, BSI
Khai works with multiple countries across the world to develop new solutions addressing both sustainability and traceability challenges. In his role in BSI, Khai is responsible for the development of new, and the on-going management of existing Certification Schemes in the Global Consumer Promise practice. He is passionate about carbon neutrality, circular economy, disruptive technologies, and sustainable consumption and production initiatives. With over 7 years of working experience in the sustainability field, one of his many achievements includes the development and enhancement of two sustainable rating tools in Malaysia - MyCREST (Malaysian Carbon Reduction & Environmental Sustainability Tool) and Sustainable INFRASTAR (Infrastructure Sustainability Rating Tool). He has also produced and published three Guidelines on Resilience in Construction in Malaysia, developed Green Public Procurement Works guideline for Malaysia as a reference across sectors.


Orwell Wan, General Manager of BD8 Ecoplastics Limited
With more than one and half decade of experience in the fashion industry, Orwell brought with him in-depth knowledge in sustainable product research and development as well as customer needs and satisfaction. Based in Hong Kong, Orwell started his career with BD8 Ecoplastics, committed to evolve the industry and community through more sustainable supply chain solutions, by riding on his wealth of exposure on product development and strategic planning in the industry. As a father of two little girls today he has a genuine passion in building a greener future for the next generation, particularly when he understands how harmful the existing global plastic crisis is. Orwell has an MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and obtained the Certified ESG Planner (CEP) from the International Chamber of Sustainable Development (ICSD) and Certified Sustainable Development Planner (CSDP) from the World Institute of Sustainable Development Planner (WISDP) in the year of 2022 and 2023.


Aiman Ali, Client Solutions Manager, Product Certification, APAC, BSI
Aiman Ali joined BSI to lead and support Asia Pacific countries on sustainability solutions creation and delivery. He brings close to a decade of industry experience including sustainability related business development pursuit across multitude of industries. Aiman also holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering as well as GHG professional and Management Accounting certifications.
