About this event
The new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) is a significant development that aims to bring greater accountability to ESG reporting by embedding sustainability and assurance within the annual reporting process. For companies that need to comply with the mandate, this could mean changes to long-held reporting practices. The EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive is the most expansive regulatory disclosure requirement and is expected to drive rapid adoption and greater scrutiny of company sustainability practices and reporting.
As part of a five-part series, Gouri Ganbavale and Desmond Zheng will provide an overview of the ESRS E1 standard, which is one of the environment-specific standards of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards. This standard outlines the disclosure requirements companies must provide regarding their impact on climate change, including both positive and negative, actual and potential impacts, as well as an outline of their past, present, and future efforts to mitigate climate change through the Paris Agreement and to limit global warming to 1.5°C. Additionally, companies must also provide a transition plan for climate change mitigation.
This 60-minute webinar will be useful for:
- Individuals tasked with sustainability disclosures for companies new to ESG
- Sustainability practitioners leading more mature programs interested in understanding gaps in their own reporting
- Executives supporting current financial reporting and corporate disclosures interested in preparing for rapidly evolving sustainability reporting requirements
We look forward to seeing you!
