Inspring trust by making credible claims

International Carbon Neutrality standard, ISO 14068-1, was first introduced in 2023 at COP28 to help organizations implement a rigorous quality process to reduce carbon emissions. The framework set out in ISO 14068-1 builds on PAS 2060* principles, allowing you to make verifiable claims of carbon or climate neutrality through a hierarchical approach.

This standard helps organizations quantify all greenhouse gas emissions across its entire life cycle. It also specifies principles, requirements and guidance on how you can identify and purchase high-quality carbon credits.

Following the guidelines set out in ISO 14068-1, coupled with independent verification, you can inspire trust in your carbon reduction claims with customers, stakeholders and regulators.

By eradicating the risk of greenwashing, you can drive impact, differentiate your business and accelerate progress towards a sustainable world.

*PAS 2060, Specification for the demonstration of carbon neutrality, originally published by BSI in 2009, and updated in 2014 is to be withdrawn in 2025.
